Where does Mike's Organic deliver?
We deliver to Greenwich, Riverside, Cos Cob, Old Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, Chappaqua, Harrison, Rye, Bedford, Armonk and Larchmont.
When does Mike's Organic Deliver?
Orders must placed by 9PM on Friday for weekly deliveries. We deliver Monday-Friday. Deliveries are not made on weekends.
We are closed from the First week of November until the Tuesday before Thanksgiving Day (when we bring you your Turkey). All Thanksgiving orders can be placed on the site during the time we are closed. We are also closed the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. Other than that……we’re here for you! All year round we’ve got you covered!
How does delivery work?
When you check out on our convenient website, you will receive an e-mail confirming your order and as soon as the next day you will receive a delivery time frame of 3 hours (8-11 am on Tuesday) for example. A Mike's driver will bring the order right to your door. You'll be able to recognize our drivers by their Mike's Organic uniforms - and by the crates of carefully packed fresh food they'll have with them.
We will also leave you an itemized receipt listing all products that were delivered.
Please note that in order to meet our delivery times for all of our customers, drivers can't wait for an inspection of the items delivered. If anything is wrong with your order, please contact Mike's Organic Customer Service by phone or by e-mail right away.
Bad weather or other unforeseeable traffic emergencies may force us to postpone or suspend chosen delivery dates and times. If there is a significant delay, a customer service representative will call or e-mail to update you on your delivery status.
Who is responsible for assembling my order?
At Mike's, the only people who handle your food have special expertise in that area. So, whether we are selecting nice plump fruits and vegetables, choosing delicious steaks and chops or packing your food into our special carrying crates, each member of the team takes pride in the quality of our products and handles every item with care.
Is there a charge for delivery?
Yes, there is a $10 delivery fee. We deliver to the entire Greenwich Area.
Should I tip the driver?
Drivers are allowed to accept tips. Customers are under no obligation to tip Drivers but have the option of doing so if exceptional service is provided by the Driver.
How long will my order stay fresh in the delivery boxes?
Refrigerated perishables will stay fresh in the delivery boxes up to 4 hours after delivery. However, you must be home to accept your delivery as any frozen meat must be placed immediately in the freezer.
What do I do with my crate and/or freezer bags?
Your delivery crate is specially made so it will collapse down and fit easily in your closet until we deliver the next week. To collapse the crate simply empty it and push in on both sides (not the bottom or top, the sides). The sides will fold in and you can collapse the crate. Please have your crate and other Mike's Organic Delivery freezer bags and cool packs ready so you can give them to our driver upon the next week's delivery.
Is there a security deposit for the crate?
Yes, there is a $15 fee for the use of your crate. You will be charged this amount upon your first purchase.
Delivery of Products
To maintain the freshness of products after delivery, we recommend that you immediately refrigerate perishable items.
In an effort to meet the committed delivery time for all of our customers, our delivery personnel cannot wait for an inspection of the items delivered. Your order will arrive with an invoice that will list all of the items you have received and were billed for. If something is missing from your order, please call our Customer Service department or contact us via our Customer Inquiry e-mail form.
In the case of inclement weather, or unforeseen delivery complications, it may be necessary to make adjustments to our delivery schedule, which will cause us to suspend chosen delivery dates and times. If there will be a significant delay, a customer service representative may call or e-mail you to let you know the status of your delivery time. We will deliver your order the first possible moment the conditions permit. We will never deliver an order past 4:00 PM without a customer's consent.
What if no one is there to receive my delivery?
Due to the perishable nature of the items we deliver, someone must be home to accept your delivery. If no one is there to receive your delivery, you will be charged in full for your delivery. This is the only way we can insure the quality of our food and hold to the high standards we have set and know you expect.
What if I have an Electronic Gate/Key Pad Entry to my Property?
If you have a gate to your property you must either make sure we have the number to open the gate or that someone is available immediately to open the gate for us.
